Why You Should Choose IVF Davao

One in ten Filipinos are infertile, which is why many couples turn to in vitro fertilization, in the hopes of having children someday. But as much as a lot of couples would like to undergo the procedure, IVF is quite a costly process—financially and even emotionally.

We’re blessed to be able to live in a time of abundant opportunities for fertility, and that these options are no longer out of reach for Filipinos, especially Mindanawons. As a pioneer of IVF services in Davao, our clinic boasts its high success rate and affordable cost of IVF procedures.

Here’s why you should choose our lab for your IVF procedures:

High success rate

The reality is that even with IVF, the chances of fertilization are still rather slim. Some couples have a successful first cycle, while others try multiple cycles until they succeed or ultimately fail to conceive. For perspective, the success rate of in vitro fertilization procedures is 30 percent globally. At IVF Davao, it’s currently at 42 percent.

Affordable cost

Compared to procedures performed abroad, getting IVF done in the Philippines costs less. But what’s even better is that our clinic provides reasonably priced procedures than those in other parts of the country.

Egg Harvesting

In other countries like the US for example, one IVF cycle may cost anywhere between$12,000 to $15,000 or P600,000 to P750,000—and that’s not including medications!Medications would cost around an extra $1,500 to $3,000 (P75,000 to P150,000).

One study even found that the average couple’s expenses rounded up to $19,000 (P950,000), and an additional $6,955 (P347,750) for every succeeding cycle.

In the Philippines, the expenses are more breathable for hopeful patients. In cities that provide IVF procedures, IVF can cost around P300,000.

Our clinic can offer procedures around P300,000 to P400,000—a rough estimate of the cost depending on the patient’s age.

Frozen Embryo Transfers

When the first cycle of IVF doesn’t result in successful fertilization, the remaining embryos from the same cycle can be used for a frozen cycle, and the rest stored for future use. This is called a frozen embryo transfer.

A typical FET may cost around $3,000 to $5,000 (P150,000 to P250,000) for every cycle. Our lab offers Frozen Embryo Transfer for P36,100, which is roughly14 to 24 percent of the total cost abroad!

Sperm and Egg Freezing

People who may not be ready for parenthood, are away from their families for a certain amount of time, or are about to undergo chemotherapy may opt for sperm or egg freezing. This procedure stores sperm or egg samples for future use.

In the Philippines, the rates for egg retrieval for women 35 years old and below may amount to anywhere between P250,000 to P300,000, with a storage fee of P15,000 annually, while the cost for women above 35 totals from P350,000 to P400,000 with the same storage fee.

IVF Davao offers sperm and egg freezing for around P15,000 for retrieval and the first month of storage, and only half the price for the succeeding months of storage.

If you’re still scratching your head over the total IVF cost, you may consult with our specialists to get a rough estimate, and explore the best option for you today.
