Incorporate more fruits and vegetables into your diet

Fruits or vegetables may maintain or improve semen quality. Low intake of fruits and vegetables — less than five servings a day — increases the risk of infertility in males. It is associated with a higher sperm concentration and progressive motility.

Find time to exercise

Exercise training appeared to boost sperm quantity and quality, with moderate exercise coming first. Researchers at Harvard Medical School say at least part of the benefit may come from shedding excess weight.

It has been known that obesity can lower a man’s fertility. Getting about an hour of daily exercise could lead to higher sperm counts and reduce infertility, new research suggests, and weight-lifting appears to be particularly helpful.

Have a good night’s sleep

Sleeping for seven to eight hours a night seems to be the best range for good sperm health, a preliminary study in the journal of Fertility & Sterility suggests.  But it’s possible that sleeping too little can reduce your release of testosterone, a hormone vital for sperm production

Another culprit to male infertility may be the production of ASA or anti-sperm antibodies that are produced in men who sleep past midnight. Studies show that ASA is significantly lower in men who are asleep by 10 pm or earlier, so get your Zs in.

The in vitro fertilization success rate is dependent on both partners’ genetics and the measures they take to conceive. However, there are still some things that can be done to give the process a higher chance of turning out successfully.
